How it works. Our alcohol home detox is for clients who live with alcohol dependancy. The idea is to get them clean, and get their bodies completely clear of alcohol. This is the first stage of curing alcohol addiction, dependancy.

The first step will be a telephone assessment. This normally takes around 10 mins.
Secondly we arrange to get your medication to you. This can be sent special next day delivery, or by hand if you are local, or via a script from the chemist of you choice. Normally your most local chemist.
The third step happens when you have your medication. Our nurse will call your supervisor (normally a friend or relative) and tell them how much medication to give you. You have now started your alcohol home detox.
This carries on for a period of 7 days until you are completely clear of alcohol. It is a very simple process, and is done in exactly the same way as any private residential rehab centre in the UK.

So that is it. Your alcohol home detox is done. You are free to go and make a new life for yourself and your family. But the next challenge is staying off alcohol.

Staying off alcohol

Temptation can be hard. But what you need to remember is. There is no one else in this battle of alcoholism. It is just you and your head. It is a way of self harming. You must beat it. So if you think you are going to relapse and start drinking. Just think about what I have said. It is just you and your head. There is no one else involved. I found ways to beat it. Drink a pint of milk. Eat and orange. Go for a walk. Go swimming. Just anything but drink. Because if you relapse, you will play catchup. You will drink more than you did before. It is just how it works. Don’t go there. It really isn’t worth it. One other thing is, you cannot have just one drink. If you do you will be right back on it. Forget alcohol. Move on.
